School of Business Student Representative
**Application for Spring 2022 semester is due by December 1, 2021.**
Qualifications
Qualifications Student Rep:
- Completed MGMT 331 with grade of A or B (SIUE Undergraduates Only)
- GPA of at least 3.0
- Enrolled at SIUE in a School of Business undergraduate or graduate program, in good academic and good disciplinary standing at time of application and throughout the term of service
Roles & Responsibilities
Term:
- Student Representatives serve a term of one semester
- Service begins at the start of the semester and concludes at the end of the semester.
Role:
- To learn more about project management.
- To interact with and get to know project managers in the St. Louis area.
- To participate in the planning of the annual SIUE Project Management Symposium.
Responsibilities:
- Attend in person the monthly meetings of the Board. These take place on the third Wednesday morning of every month from 8:30 to 10:30am. Meetings are usually held at SIUE or held virtually on Zoom.
- Contribute to the annual PM Symposium in one of the following roles:
- Assist with topic selections for the PM Symposium sessions
- Work with a team of Board members in the delivery of a topic at the Symposium
- Assist in the coordination/administration of the Symposium
- As the term of service comes to a close, document in a memo to the Chair of the SIUE Project Management Advisory Board:
- The most valuable things you learned through your role on the Board
- At least one suggestion to enhance the Student Rep experience
