Reynolds and Milbrath Named OVC Track Athletes of the Week
Two athletes from SIUE are recognized as OVC Athletes of the week. Gran Milbrath was named the male field athlete of the week, and Vashanti Reynolds was named co-female track athlete of the week.
Reynolds ran the 100m hurdles at the SLU speed / power festival (Mar. 28) where she finished first out of 14, crossing the finish line at 14.08. She placed first out of 25 in the same event at the Billiken Invite (Mar. 29) with a time of 14.17.
Milbrath competed in three events at the Billiken Invite. He placed first out of 23 in the shot put at 17.22m (56-6), and second out of 25 in the hammer throw at 58.61m (192-3), both good for PRs. Milbrath also competed in the discus where he placed ninth at 38.67m (126-10).
