Schedule a Group Visit
Bring your group to SIUE and explore what it’s like to be a Cougar! We will coordinate a personalized visit experience to meet your prospective students' needs. All group visits include an admissions presentation and a campus tour led by a current student. Presentations from academic departments and other student service departments are subject to availability.
Group visit are offered:
- September-November
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
To maximize your visit experience, please request your visit at least four weeks in advance of your preferred date. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to request a different time for your visit.

Requesting a Group Visit
To request a group visit, please email [email protected] with the following information:
- Name of your group
- Group size
- Contact name and information
- Preferred visit date/time AND alternate visit date and time (based on the current visit schedule above)
A member of the campus visit team will respond to confirm your group visit. Please note that a visit request is not confirmation of your visit.
Accommodations are available with advance notice.
Group Visit Guidelines
Please note: Violation of our group visit guidelines may result in a review of any future group visit requests.
Group Size and Chaperones
- Tour groups are limited to 40 people with a 10:1 student-to-chaperone ratio.
- Chaperones must remain with the group at all times and maintain order within the group.
- We are not accepting requests for middle school visits at this time.
- We ask for a final headcount for your group one week before your visit.
Parking/Transportation
- Information about bus loading/unloading and parking will be sent in the group visit confirmation.
Meal Options
- SIUE offers many dining options on campus at the Morris University Center (MUC).
- With some exceptions, dining is cafeteria style.
- Your group may purchase lunch in the MUC or bring a bagged lunch to campus.
- Meal tickets may be purchased ahead of time through the MUC Business Office, however, they require at least one week advance notice to process a meal card request. Contact the MUC Business Office at [email protected].
Campus Tours
- Campus tours are walking tours led by SIUE student ambassadors.
- Tours go out rain or shine.
- Please communicate with your students the importance of wearing comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather.
Conduct on Campus
- We ask that our visitors be respectful of the learning environment and be quiet when touring buildings where classes are in session.
- Please set expectation with your group to be respectful of the Admissions staff and tour guides.
- Please refrain from using cell phones, listening to music, etc. during presentations and the campus tour.
Late Arrival/Cancellation
- Late arrivals for group visits may result in your itinerary for the day being modified due to staff availability. Please call Admissions at 618-650-3705 as soon as possible.
