Welcome to the SIUE School of Pharmacy!
We are looking forward to working with you during the summer to help you make a comfortable transition to the School of Pharmacy (SOP). As always, please do not hesitate to call the Office of Professional and Student Affairs (OPSA) at [email protected] or 618-650-5150 if you have questions or need assistance. The information below is provided as a reference. A detailed email will be sent to you in late spring with instructions on actions you will need to take.
e-ID (Username for Access to University Systems)
If you attended SIUE prior to your application to the School of Pharmacy, then your current e-ID will remain with you.
If you are new to SIUE then you must have your e-ID and password to access your SIUE email account and other University systems. To activate your e-ID, you will need your Student ID# provided in the email from SIUE School of Pharmacy with the Subject Line: Welcome to the SIUE SOP! Detailed instructions for obtaining your e-ID are available in that email and on the ITS website.
Application for your e-id can be done by logging in to the SIUE e-id webpage.
You must establish your e-id, so that you can access SIUE email services.
If you have any issues setting up your e-ID and password, please contact the SIUE ITS help desk at 618-650-5500 OR via email, [email protected].
Beginning July 1st, we will only communicate with you through your SIUE email address and your Class Facebook Group.
Experiential Education Requirements
Detailed information about ALL experiential education requirements will be sent to your email in late spring. Please read the Welcome Letter from the Office of Experiential Education. Information regarding pre-experiential requirements including: immunizations, physical exam (Physical Exam form available here), health insurance, licensure, and background and drug test can be viewed by accessing the Experiential Education Health Requirements. It is recommended that you print the requirements and use it to track your completion. If you have questions about the process for completing these requirements, please contact Monica Kempland, [email protected] or 618-650-5125 in the SOP Experiential Education Office.
CougarNet
CougarNet gives you access to your academic and financial records at SIUE. To access CougarNet, you will need your Student ID#. The first time you access CougarNet, your PIN is your birthday (mmddyy). You will receive a prompt to change your PIN to a 6 character PIN of your choice. You will need to click on the link "Enter Cougarnet with my University ID (begins with 800)". Then, you can log into CougarNet using either your e-ID or your Student ID # (also referred to as 800XXXXXX). Your e-ID and Student ID # were provided in the email with Subject Line: Welcome to the SIUE SOP.
Please verify your permanent address on CougarNet is correct. Once you have secured a local address, please update that on CougarNet as well. Information on CougarNet must be kept up to date.
Registration
Before we can register you for your classes for fall 2025, you must accept the Financial Agreement. Log-on to CougarNet as outlined above and select Student > Registration then follow the prompts. You must select "I agree" to release the hold or we cannot register you for classes.
You will be enrolled for 18 credit hours. You may view your fall 2025 schedule on CougarNet after July 15, 2025. If you are a current SIUE student and you are registered for non-pharmacy classes for the fall semester, we will drop you from those classes prior to enrolling you in pharmacy classes. All of you will be enrolled in the same classes. There are no elective or course time options available. Questions about registration should be directed to your assigned academic advisor in the SOP Office of Professional & Student Affairs.
Aademic Advisor: Joe Southerland, [email protected] or 618-650-5127
Transcripts
If you are enrolled in courses at only SIUE during the spring term of 2025, you do not need to send the School of Pharmacy a transcript. However, if you were enrolled at any other school (not SIUE), then you must arrange for your official spring 2025 transcripts to be sent directly to the SIUE School of Pharmacy as soon as your spring 2025 grades are posted. In addition to sending spring transcript(s), ALL students must update your courses online during the PharmCAS Academic Update window. The PharmCAS Spring Academic Update window will be open through June 30, 2025. It is your responsibility to submit your spring transcripts, add any new courses completed since you first submitted your application to PharmCAS, and to edit your in-progress and planned courses. If you need assistance, see the How to Complete the Academic Update section of the Spring Academic Update page of the PharmCAS instructions. Do NOT send official transcripts to PharmCAS.
Send (non-SIUE) transcripts to:

Textbook Rental Process - You will be given time during Orientation to pick-up your textbooks.
Textbooks will be available through SIUE Textbook Services at no additional cost to you. Details about obtaining your textbooks will be provided via email prior to Orientation.
Parking
All SOP students must purchase a permit from Campus Parking to park on campus. Parking permits for the fall of 2025 and spring of 2026 will be available for purchase after July 15. We recommend that you wait until you arrive on campus in August to purchase your permit. You may not park in the front or rear or the pharmacy classroom building. You must park in one of the student lots. The closest lots to the School of Pharmacy (SOP) are P-4 and P-5, which require a red hangtag. (map)
