Through a grant from the Faculty Emeriti Association, the Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy collaborated to host a Symposium on disparities in Maternal Health. With the screening of the documentary “Aftershock” and an interdisciplinary panel discussion, participants gained valuable insights into real-world challenges and evidence-based solutions to disparities in maternal health outcomes in the United States.

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is a nationally recognized university that educates and develops professional and community leaders through its excellent faculty and programs. Undergraduates who meet high academic standards are included in a Dean's List issued each semester.
To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or better and have 12 hours calculated (B is equivalent to 3.0; A to 4.0).

SIUE Joins Community Groups to Provide Screenings, Education, Food and Clothing

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) leadership, the Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB), design-build firms Clayco + Poettker, and city and state officials gathered this morning to celebrate a significant construction milestone. A “final pour” ceremony marked the last structural concrete pour on the new $105 million health science building at the SIUE campus.

Last Friday, SIUE School of Pharmacy hosted its 20th White Coat Ceremony. All 62 student members of the Class of 2028, family and friends gathered in the Meridian Ballroom of Morris University Center to uphold the tradition that marks the start of their professional journey. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville students are among the inaugural recipients of the 2021 SIU System Distinguished Student Service Awards. Awardees were honored during the Board of Trustees meeting held via Zoom Thursday, July 15.
During the meeting, Dianah McGreehan, chair of the award selection committee, announced the recipients and shared brief highlights of their outstanding acts of service. Each will receive $100 and an honorary plaque.
