General Questions
If I am a family member, can I visit my student this weekend?
Guests will be permitted in University Housing. For the fall 2024 semester, residents can host other SIUE community members and up to three non-SIUE community members in University Housing. Overnight guests are permitted. Learn more about University Housing Policies and Procedures.
Where are we allowed to park on campus?
Guests can park in most lots from 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Yellow lots, or residential lots, are the exception and only individuals with yellow hang tags may park in these lots. If you arrive before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, please park in Lot B. Lot B is a pay-by-space lot with a cost of $1.50 per hour. Learn more about Parking.
Are dogs allowed in SIUE buildings?
No animals are permitted in University buildings or facilities, except for the following: service animals for persons with disabilities; animals used by law enforcement or emergency personnel in the exercise of their official duties; animals used in academic programs for teaching or research; animals used in University-sponsored or approved programs; or animals approved pursuant to University Housing resident guidelines, including emotional support or therapy animals for residents with disabilities.
