Education:
- PhD in Chemistry, the University of Kansas (09/2006)
Concentration areas: Synthetic Inorganic / Organometallic Chemistry
Dissertation Title: Low-Valent Coordination Chemistry of Nonbenzeniod Isocyanides, a New Class of Aromatic Isocyanide Ligands
- B.S. in Chemistry with minor Mathematics, Niagara University (2001)
Research Interest:
I have been trained as a synthetic organometallic chemist and this is where my research interests are focused. I have worked on synthetic coordination and physical inorganic chemistry of air sensitive electron-rich organometallic systems containing nonbenzenoid aromatic ligands. My interests include the design of novel organometallic scaffolds and chiral catalytic reagents.
Teaching Interest:
- General Chemistry I (CHEM 121a)
- General Chemistry II (CHEM 121b)
- Inorganic Chemistry I (CHEM 411)
- Engineering Chemistry (CHEM 131)
- General, Organic and Biochemistry I (CHEM 120a)
