Dr. Mark Ruscin is a professor with the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Ruscin is a native of central Illinois and joined the SIUE faculty in 2008 after spending 13 years with the University of Colorado-Denver School of Pharmacy and Center on Aging. He graduated with his doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1993. After completing a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics, he completed a geriatrics fellowship at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. He is a fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (FASCP) and was elected as a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy in 2013 (FCCP). His teaching, clinical practice and research all center around the care of older adults. His practice site is in Springfield, Ill., with the SIU School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, where he holds an adjunct faculty appointment.
