Dr. Chris Lynch, director of clinical programs and professor of pharmacy practice, is a native of Southern Illinois who returned to the area from New Orleans, Louisiana where he taught and practiced for 10 years. He received his B.S. and doctorate of pharmacy degrees from St. Louis College of Pharmacy and completed a residency in family medicine and clinical community pharmacy at St. John’s Mercy Medical, Department of Family Medicine. Faculty experiences include the University of Illinois Chicago, Tulane University Medical School, and the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he received the Alumni Association’s Outstanding Faculty Award. Clinical experiences include serving as the director of pharmacy services for the Diabetes Center of Excellence at Charity Hospital New Orleans. Since 2006, he has served as the Pharmacy Team Leader for the Jamaica Dental Mission. His research interests include diabetes, hypertension and women’s health.
Dr. Lynch is proud to have received teaching awards from his students more than 12 times in his career and was honored to have been the recipient of the 2021 Illinois Pharmacist Association Bowl of Hygeia Award.
