Tessa received her MA in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and her BS in Psychology from SIUE. Tessa served as an Academic Advisor in the Office of Professional and Student Affairs from 2005 to 2012 and returned to the School in 2018 in Pharmacy Practice. She has 15 years of higher education experience in serving pharmacy students, graduate students, and undeclared undergraduate students and has served on the PharmCAS Advisory Board. She has published and presented topics on pharmacy student research, staff as faculty extenders, student mentoring, student success, PharmCAS, and student affairs collaborations nationally and regionally.
