Dr. Deja Finley is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Deja earned a B.S. in chemistry from Millikin University in Decatur, IL and her Doctor of Pharmacy with a specialization in teaching from the SIUe School of Pharmacy. She completed a community-based residency at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis and Walgreens Pharmacy. She practices as a clinical pharmacist, working alongside an interdisciplinary team, to provide primary care and internal medicine services to patients at Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (SIHF) in collaboration with the SIU School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program based at Alton Memorial Hospital. SIHF is a federally qualified health center serving the underinsured and uninsured population in the Alton, IL and surround areas. Dr. Finley is passionate about serving the underserved population, opioid stewardship, substance use disorder, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and mental health.
