Teaching Assistant in the Foreign Languages Teaching Center (FLTC)
• works in the FLTC for 20 hours per week
• provides tutoring in Spanish during regular work hours in the FLTC
• conducts Spanish Conversation Hour twice a week
• holds writing tutorials for Spanish students once a week
• administers language placement tests
• works under the supervision of the FLTC director and carries out the day-to-day management of the FLTC and all its facilities
• is responsible for creating and maintaining a work schedule for student workers each semester, covering absences, monitoring tutor hours, gathering and calculating the student worker hours to submit to the FLTC director every two weeks
• is responsible for overseeing the functioning of FLTC equipment
• works in collaboration with the FLTC director and Department of Foreign Languages Chair to propose and organize events showcasing the FLTC and the FLL department
