Andy Canopy
A senior project manager and assistant vice president at Hanson Professional Services, Andrew Canopy, P.E., PLS, has guided private and public clients through multidisciplined projects for over 30 years. His expertise spans a wide range of surveying and civil engineering initiatives.
An active leader in the industry, Andy is a member of the Geomatics Division within the Transportation Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He has served as the past president of both the ASCE Central Illinois Section and the ASCE Illinois Valley Branch. Additionally, he is a past president and member of the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association, a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois and a subject matter expert for the Surveyor Committee of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, assisting with exam preparation.
Andy earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from Bradley University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Vermont, a professional land surveyor in Illinois, and a professional surveyor and mapper in Florida.
